Job Description:
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Job Description:
- Ability to consultatively articulate complex technical findings to more experienced management in clear, concise, understandable terms
- Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations)
- Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management)
- Design (compliance, security)
- Network Engineering (planning, provision)
- Proficient in more than one specific infrastructure technology
- Executes against understanding of best practices and client policies
- Roles and Responsibilities:
- This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages: Python, Java, C, C++, Go, JCL, REXX, PERL, PHP, JYTHON, zOSMF Workflows, J2EE, MVC, JDBC, Servlets, JSP, HTML, JQuery, AngularJS, JSON and XML
- Advanced experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, database, unix/linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, information retrieval, networking, large scale software development, security software development
- Understanding or have experience with agile and lean philosophies
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with clear communication
- Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals
- Strong knowledge of zOSConnect (aka zOSC or zCEE) on the mainframe. Build, configure and trouble shoot issues.
- Proficient across WebSphere (WAS) Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), Design (compliance, security) and Connectivity (planning, securing)
- Strong knowledge of server side design patterns and continuous delivery principles
- Ability to articulate and share clear, concise complex technical findings to management in understandable terms
