Job Details

Special Skill Set:

The Solution Architect ensures applications and servers are built with best practices, reusability, and technology alignment to meet business needs. The role supports Enterprise Architecture standards and requires the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.

The Solution Architect acts as a Change Agent, challenging the status quo, promoting improved methods, and introducing newer technologies. The role involves meeting and presenting to the Enterprise Architecture Review Council to gain approval and advice, ensuring sustainable services and applications are created.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8 15 years of experience across multiple IT areas.
  • 5 7 years of relevant technology architecture experience.
  • Hands-on Network Access Control (NAC) experience.
  • Hands-on Cisco ISE experience.
  • Hands-on Cisco DNA experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong background in architectural modeling, SOA, enterprise information management, and software design/development.
  • Solution Architect experience in two or more large-scale IT programs.
  • Demonstrated success in developing solutions that solve business problems.
  • Experience designing and implementing SOA and enterprise services.
  • Transportation Industry experience.
  • Broad IT experience in networking technologies.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks.
