Job Description
- Strong background in utility distribution systems and field devices
- Experience with device lab work configuring, simulating, and testing automation devices before field deployment
- Familiar with SCADA protocols (e.g., DNP3, Modbus)
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and document automation systems
SCADA & Automation Platforms:
- 4G Communications (knowledge of cellular comms with utility devices)
- SEL RTAC (Real-Time Automation Controller) SEL is widely used in power system automation
- NOVATEK Platforms likely refers to NovaTech Orion platform or SCADA HMI systems
Device Configuration & Testing:
- Hands-on experience with:
- MOABs (Motor Operated Air Break switches)
- Tap Changers
- Voltage Regulators
- Capacitor Banks (Cap Banks)
- Fault Location Sensors specifically Sentient sensors (often used in grid fault detection
