Job Details
We have a 12 month contract to hire for a Network Security Engineer II. Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of hands on experience with Python or a similar language with a strong understanding of how automation can be applied within the environment. Must also have 2-3 years of experience working with firewalls in a professional setting.
100% Remote.
Must Haves:
- Python or similar language
- Checkpoint experience or similar
- Problem solver/can troubleshoot and offer scalable solutions
- Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and Agile
Nice to haves:
- Healthcare
Disqualifiers:
- Lacking Anetwork Automation experience, no hands on Python scripting experience, limited firewall exposure, no python or similar language experience
Responsibilities:
- Meet with the team to collaborate and warm on efforts of automation.
- Write scripting code within Python and working with firewalls daily. The contractor will contribute to the development and refinement of solutions to support daily operations and improve our firewall monitoring.
- Performance involves working with the team towards team success.
- This position is different than most network security engineers because it involves the coding and automation side of network security.
- Ideal candidate will play a key role in driving innovation and efficiency.
