A top Fortune 50 financial institution is currently seeking a Data Scientist to support the Digital Analytics team's growing digital data science department. This hybrid opportunity is open to candidates based in Vienna, VA; Winchester, VA; Pensacola, FL; or San Diego, CA. The role focuses on developing and implementing predictive models that enhance customer experience and drive digital engagement across web and mobile platforms.


About the Opportunity:
* Work Model: Hybrid 2x a week onsite standard
* Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours
* Setting: Corporate / Digital Data Science Department
* Level: Mid-level (3-7 years of experience)


Responsibilities:
The Data Scientist - Digital Analytics will be responsible for:
* Designing, developing, and implementing predictive and machine learning models to enhance digital products and customer experience.
* Partnering with senior data scientists, business leaders, and developers to deliver actionable insights.
* Writing clean, efficient Python and SQL code for data preparation, modeling, and analysis.
* Applying techniques such as logistic regression, random forest, XGBoost, neural networks, NLP, clustering, and forecasting (ARIMA, Prophet).
* Evaluating model performance and communicating results through clear, data-driven storytelling.
* Supporting automation, deployment, and continuous improvement of models and analytics tools.
* Collaborating across Agile teams to contribute to ongoing projects and documentation best practices.


Qualifications:
* 3-7 years of experience in data science, statistics, or data analytics
* Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
* Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, PySpark, or R
* Experience developing and evaluating machine learning models
* Familiarity with cloud and data environments such as Azure, Databricks, AWS, or Hadoop
* Excellent analytical storytelling and communication skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams


Desired Skills:
* Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
* Experience with project management tools (Azure DevOps, JIRA)
* Knowledge of financial services, banking, or digital analytics
* Ability to translate complex technical findings into actionable business insights
