Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS/CLS/MT) / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Location: Salisbury, MD

Shift: Rotational

Pay Range: $29.00 $46.00/hr

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000

Relocation Assistance: Up to $2,500


Job Summary:

Pride Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician to perform, evaluate, and interpret a variety of diagnostic lab tests. You ll ensure accuracy, maintain lab instruments, validate new testing methods, and support the training and mentoring of staff and students all while upholding the highest standards of lab safety and quality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and complex tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, urinalysis, and blood bank.
  • Ensure accuracy and clinical relevance of test results; maintain quality control and instruments.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new test procedures.
  • Participate in lab education, competency assessments, and mentoring.
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP, JCAHO).
  • Support workflow with administrative and technical duties.
  • Work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage as needed.


Education & Certification:

  • MLS: Bachelor's in medical laboratory science or related field
  • MLT: Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
  • Must hold ASCP/CLS/MLT certification
  • Specialty certifications preferred (Blood Bank, Microbiology, Chemistry)


Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Proficient with lab instruments, LIS/EHR systems, and quality control procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail, teamwork, and communication
  • Flexible and able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and emergency situations
