About the Role

We're the world's leading provider of secure financial messaging services. We are the way the world moves value - across borders, through cities and overseas. No other organisation can address the scale, precision, pace and trust that this demands, and we're proud to support the global economy.

We're unique too. We were established to find a better way for the global financial community to move value - a reliable, safe and secure approach that the community can trust, completely. We're always striving to be better and are constantly evolving in an ever-changing landscape, without undermining that trust. Nearly five decades on, our vibrant community reflects the complexity and diversity of the financial ecosystem. We innovate diligently, test exhaustively, then implement fast. In a connected and exciting era, our mission has never been more relevant.

In the role of Site Reliability Engineer - Data Analytics, you'll be at the forefront of transforming raw data into strategic insights. Your mission is to enhance the understanding and visualization of our services and infrastructure, always with the customer experience in focus. From SLA and SLO to error budgets, your expertise will shape a sophisticated data landscape.

Your craft extends beyond traditional data integration. You're a data synthesis maestro, seamlessly combining various sources to address diverse needs-whether it's anomaly detection for monitoring, crafting dashboards for problem management, or developing business patterns for health checks and improvement reporting.

Crucially, you bring a profound understanding of how well-positioned data supports operational and evolutionary decisions. Your data isn't just raw information; it's clear, concise, and, most importantly, relevant, driving strategic initiatives with precision.

As a key player in solution design discussions, you contribute your expertise to ensure the stability of features and services. You don't just adapt; you thrive in an environment where continuous and rapid learning is the norm. Your role as a responsible innovator goes beyond the present-introducing cutting-edge concepts like machine learning when their maturity aligns with our operational needs.

To excel in this role, you'll develop an intimate understanding of Swift Products and services. You won't just integrate data analytics; you'll do so seamlessly, aligning with data-driven processes and automation steps to achieve optimal operational and business results.

This opportunity is crafted for a visionary who sees data analytics as more than a tool-it's a transformative force. If you're ready to shape the future of data analytics excellence, join us on this exciting journey. Apply now and be a pivotal part of elevating our performance analytics capabilities.

You combine many different sources of data to provide different levels of understanding for different needs such as anomaly detection for monitoring, dashboards to support problem management, service/infra business patterns for health checking, reporting to support services/infra improvement activities, impact assessment .

You work from a strong understanding how relevant and well positioned data supports decisions (operational, evolutionary and others). You are capable to provide clear, concise, and relevant data for that purpose. You identify gaps in data collection from application, system or infrastructure sources. You identify opportunity to structure data sources and ensure they conform to established formatting standards. You lead efforts to bring consistency and structure to dashboards and establish standard.

Continuous and fast learning is key in this field of data analytics, as it is evolving fast. You are a responsible innovator and bring new operational data concepts and technologies, such as machine learning, to operations when the maturity level of these is appropriate for our use.

You develop and maintain a good understanding of workings of Swift Products and services to integrate data analytics with data driven process/automation steps, as well as identify what is the right data and approach to use for the expected operational and business result.
