Job Details
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer / Historian Engineer with strong experience in .NET and Python to design, develop, and support data pipelines for industrial and operational data systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with data historians (PI Historian preferred), time-series data, and modern cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines for time-series and operational data
Integrate and extract data from industrial data historians (AVEVA PI or similar)
Develop scalable and maintainable applications using .NET (C#) and Python
Build and maintain APIs and automation services for data access and processing
Optimize and manage SQL databases for performance and reliability
Work closely with process engineers, analysts, and IT teams to understand data requirements
Monitor, troubleshoot, and support data pipelines and historian integrations
Follow best practices for coding, testing, version control, and documentation
Required Skills:
Strong programming experience in .NET (C#) and Python
Hands-on experience with PI Historian or other industrial historians
Solid understanding of time-series data concepts
Proficiency in SQL (querying, optimization, data modeling)
Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or AWS)
Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices
Preferred / Nice to Have:
Experience with Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub)
Knowledge of other historians (Aspen, GE Proficy, Honeywell PHD)
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
Manufacturing, energy, or industrial domain experience
Exposure to BI or visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
Education:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
