Job Details
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer/ Gitlab Consultant to join their Platform Engineering Team. This role will play a critical part in building and optimizing our CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure using the latest GitLab features. The ideal candidate is a hands-on expert in GitLab and Terraform, with strong scripting skills and experience in cloud-native environments.
Tech Environment:
- Cloud: Azure (preferred), open to other cloud platforms
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
- Scripting: Python (Node.js is a plus)
- Monitoring: DataDog
- Container Orchestration: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Serverless: Azure Functions (in progress)
- Data Platform: Snowflake
Must-Have Qualifications:
- GitLab Expert: Deep knowledge of the latest GitLab features (e.g., Components, Inputs, Pipeline Execution Policies)
- Able to assess existing pipelines, ensure functionality, and build new ones using modern GitLab capabilities
- Strong documentation skills for CI/CD processes
- Terraform: Proven experience with infrastructure automation
- Python: Strong scripting and automation capabilities
- Cloud Experience: Azure preferred, but open to candidates with experience in other cloud platforms
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with Node.js
- Familiarity with Snowflake and Azure Functions
