Job Description:
- The Business Analyst will be responsible for researching technology trends, evaluating IT services, gathering requirements, and assisting in the implementation of IT infrastructure solutions.
- This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Research and evaluate the latest technology trends.
- Architect new IT services, develop solution papers, and create test plans.
- Evaluate current services and recommend remedial actions where required.
- Assist in determining hardware, software, and cloud requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on proof of concept and limited production rollouts.
- Provide quality control on production implementations.
- Communicate operation guidelines and policies to clients.
- Apply and interpret operation guidelines to enhance departmental practices.
- Review new services and technology requests, assess their impact, and provide recommendations.
- Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and estimates related to architectural deployment and service delivery.
- Assist in developing task lists and resource assignments for architectural planning and deployments.
- Support the implementation of IT infrastructure.
- Document technical recommendations and provide technical guidance to management, operations, and project teams.
- Ensure change management processes are followed.
- Make recommendations to project teams regarding issues, risks, and client satisfaction.
- Provide tracking and reporting of time and status on all assigned work.
- University graduation in business, management, or a related discipline and 2 years of Business Analyst experience.
- OR 2-year diploma in business, management, or a related discipline and 4 years of Business Analyst experience.
- OR 1-year certificate in business, management, or a related discipline and 5 years of Business Analyst experience.
- OR 6 years of Business Analyst experience.
- Experience translating business requirements into detailed technical requirements in an enterprise IT environment (5 years).
- Experience collecting and analyzing requirements for implementing cloud-based projects and services with large-scale cloud providers (3 years).
- Experience identifying and assessing requirements within multiple architecture domains such as business, application, technology, data/information, security, and privacy (3 years).
- Experience developing integrated system and technical design specifications on complex engagements (5 years).
- Experience facilitating and managing business process development and re-engineering workshops and sessions (5 years).
- Experience gathering requirements from diverse stakeholders across ministries or departments (5 years).
- Experience developing and delivering communications and presentations at multiple levels of an organization (3 years).
- Experience developing project documents for strategic, business improvement, and information technology initiatives (4 years).
- Experience understanding the impact of policies, processes, and procedures on performance (2 years).
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing processes in large, complex, multi-stakeholder environments (3 years).
- Experience working in or for the public sector (3 years).
