Job Description

MentorMate is seeking two experienced Senior Business Analysts to support a client in the wealth management domain. The ideal candidates will bring strong expertise in gathering requirements, writing detailed API specifications, validating solutions via Postman, and leveraging intermediate SQL skills for data validation and analysis. Prior experience within wealth management or financial services is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and developers to gather and document business requirements.

  • Write detailed API requirements and user stories, ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Perform API testing using Postman to validate request/response flows.

  • Utilize SQL to perform intermediate-level queries for data validation, analysis, and testing.

  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure clarity and accuracy of requirements.

  • Support system integration efforts and contribute to end-to-end solution validation.

  • Provide business domain expertise, particularly in wealth management processes (investment products, client onboarding, portfolio reporting, etc.).

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily standups).

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on technology-driven projects.

  • Proven experience writing API requirements and working closely with development teams.

  • Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing and validation.

  • Strong SQL skills (intermediate level: joins, subqueries, aggregations, data validation).

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to translate business needs into detailed technical specifications.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in Wealth Management, Financial Services, or Investment Banking domains.

  • Exposure to portfolio management, trading systems, financial advisory platforms, or client reporting solutions.

  • Familiarity with data integration, ETL processes, and financial APIs.
