Description
We are looking for an experienced IT Procurement Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves overseeing software procurement, managing contracts, and focusing on SaaS solutions to meet organizational needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software agreement negotiations and a keen eye for detail to ensure consistency and mitigate risks.
Responsibilities:
Manage the procurement process for software purchases, ensuring optimal solutions for the organization.
Review, negotiate, and renew software contracts, with a focus on enterprise software and SaaS applications.
Collaborate with legal, IT, and risk management teams to address stakeholder concerns and streamline communication.
Utilize tools like Workday Strategic Sourcing to manage procurement pipelines and Ironclad for contract management.
Develop and enforce standards for software agreements to minimize risks and maintain consistency.
Build and maintain strong relationships with software vendors and business partners.
Provide expertise in evaluating AI software providers and other emerging technologies.
Support software sourcing processes, particularly for SaaS applications, to align with business objectives.
Assist with contingent labor tasks, as needed, to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in software procurement and contract management.
Proven ability to negotiate and structure software agreements, particularly in SaaS and enterprise environments.
Familiarity with tools like Workday Strategic Sourcing and Ironclad for procurement and contract management.
Strong communication skills for working effectively with stakeholders across legal, IT, and risk management.
Detail-oriented approach to identifying and mitigating risks in software agreements.
Knowledge of AI software providers and their applications is a plus.
Experience with technologies such as Cisco, Dell, ERP systems, and cloud solutions.
Availability to start within 3-4 weeks of acceptance.
