Job Description:
  • The Associate Workplace Accommodations is responsible for receiving, evaluating, processing, and coordinating requests for workplace accommodations or adjustments from employees and certain contractors, in compliance with federal, state, and local disability laws.
  • This role engages in an interactive process with individuals to assess and implement accommodations that enable qualified employees to perform the essential functions of their roles.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the intake and prioritize requests for workplace accommodations or adjustments.
  • Assess information from employees and/or healthcare providers to determine the presence of qualifying disabilities and related limitations.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend effective workplace accommodations or adjustments.
  • Partner and communicate with employees, healthcare providers, Leave and Disability Center, line management, Human Resources, and other internal stakeholders to implement accommodations.
  • Maintain understanding of employer responsibilities under relevant disability laws and ensure compliance with the interactive accommodation process.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in federal, state, and local disability regulations and adapt processes accordingly.
  • Provide appropriate data for external audits or internal assessments as requested, in accordance with EEO or HR Legal guidance.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including in-person and phone interactions.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships and networks across the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience applying federal and state disability accommodation laws and regulations.
  • Understanding of reasonable accommodation responsibilities and interactive communication requirements under disability laws.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality and privacy practices related to medical records.
  • Certification in medical case management and/or ADA Accommodation case management.
