Job Details

Job Summary The Sr. Technical Lead / SME (Retail) will contribute to a modernization initiative focused on eliminating legacy processes, including mainframe jobs, Unix scripts, ESQL scripts, and databases such as DB2 and Informix. This role involves designing and implementing an end-to-end business process leveraging modern cloud technologies and future tech stacks. Strong retail knowledge, especially in Supply Chain areas such as GRS, OMS, and WMS, is essential. Key Responsibilities Analyze existing business processes, dependencies, and legacy systems. Define technical solutions and create implementation roadmaps. Engage with stakeholders to gather and validate business requirements. Review system designs and ensure alignment with business goals. Implement scalable, secure, and high-performance technology solutions. Oversee architecture and application development to ensure solution integrity. Promote best practices and mentor team members on technical excellence. Prepare technical documentation and maintain knowledge repositories. Collaborate with architects, developers, and SMEs for complex enterprise solutions. Work within an Agile delivery framework across onsite and offshore teams. Apply retail domain knowledge across Supply Chain functions (GRS, OMS, WMS). Required Qualifications 15+ years of experience in application design and development. Expertise in Java and related technologies. Strong understanding of cloud technologies and databases. Working knowledge of mainframe, Unix, and legacy systems. Experience in service architecture and data pipelines. Familiarity with data lakes and data pools. Proven experience in modernization and transformation initiatives. Solid grasp of Agile software development methodologies. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Strong ability to learn and adapt to emerging technologies. Preferred Qualifications Experience in retail modernization programs or large-scale transformation projects. Familiarity with multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform). Experience with CI/CD pipeline setup and DevOps automation. Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach development teams. Strong exposure to enterprise system migration and integration. Education: Bachelors Degree
