RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Salt Lake City, UT that is seeking a Pipeline Engineer.
Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Pipeline Engineer to lead the design and implementation of modern CI/CD pipelines as part of a strategic cloud migration initiative. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about building scalable, secure, and automated deployment workflows. You will play a critical role in transforming legacy systems into a GitOps-driven architecture, leveraging cutting-edge tools such as Argo CD, Octopus Deploy, Terraform, and Amazon EKS. As a key member of our DevOps and engineering teams, you will collaborate closely with developers, cloud engineers, and infrastructure specialists to ensure seamless delivery cycles and robust deployment practices. Your work will directly impact the speed, reliability, and security of our software delivery processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications across cloud environments
* Lead the migration from legacy deployment systems to a modern GitOps-based model
* Utilize Argo CD for declarative, automated Kubernetes deployments
* Manage infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform
* Orchestrate and optimize deployments on Amazon EKS
* Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline delivery workflows
* Troubleshoot pipeline issues and continuously improve performance and reliability
* Ensure security, scalability, and compliance in all deployment processes
REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in cloud-native environments
* Hands-on expertise with Argo CD, Octopus Deploy, Terraform, and Amazon EKS
* Strong understanding of Git workflows, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes
* Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS, and infrastructure-as-code principles
* Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
