Position Summary:
ExxonMobil is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to support our LaBarge facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in electrical safety, instrumentation physics, control systems, and machinery dynamics, while maintaining a collaborative and positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Instrumentation & Troubleshooting Interpret P&ID and loop drawings to identify and locate field equipment. Understand and explain the physics behind various instruments: Pressure, temperature, time-of-flight, speed, level (including nuclear, capacitive, ultrasonic). Use appropriate testing methods to troubleshoot instrumentation issues. Control Systems & Logic Interpretation Read and interpret motor control schematics. Analyze and advise on Tristation and Allen Bradley logic systems. Work from control/SIF narratives and cause-and-effect matrices to ensure proper system function. Machinery Dynamics & Monitoring Identify and explain instruments related to machinery dynamics: Vibration monitoring, turbine trip valves (TTV), governor control, surge control, and equipment health monitoring. Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as a liaison between engineering teams and construction crews Teamwork & Attitude Exhibit a positive, team-oriented mindset.
