Job Title: Systems Administrator

Location: Remote

Job Overview:

The Systems Administrator will provide operational support for the Cognizant Facets claims adjudication system. This role focuses on maintaining the performance, reliability, and security of the production environment. It involves hands-on work with Windows Server environments, system troubleshooting, application deployment support, and participation in 24x7 support rotations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Facets application servers and associated tools.
  • Monitor system health and performance, proactively identify and resolve issues.

  • Maintain and support system security measures against potential threats.

  • Collaborate with developers for application deployments and environment support.

  • Manage installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Windows-based systems.

  • Provide failure analysis and system recovery in case of outages or issues.

  • Handle infrastructure-related requests, including:

    • Server provisioning

    • Firewall configurations

    • Load balancer setup

    • DNS updates

  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation for production environments.

  • Develop and maintain system architecture and environment documentation.

  • Work with third-party vendors on technical requirements or issue resolution.

  • Support disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP) through exercises and documentation.


Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience with Cognizant Facets (claims processing systems).
  • Strong experience with Windows Server operating systems.

  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, firewalls, and load balancers.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including customers, vendors, and technical staff.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
