Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop test plans, validation procedures, and documentation to ensure functional and performance compliance, taking full ownership of the assigned task.
- Design, model, simulate power electronics systems.
- Designing prototype, debugging, and fault analysis for power electronic systems hardware (Inverters/converters) , and optimize.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure smooth transition from design to validation and production.
- Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout, and firmware engineers to develop and validate design.
- Utilize laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal cameras, etc.) to conduct detailed analysis and root cause investigations.
- Perform design validation under various operating conditions (temperature, voltage, load profile, EMI/EMC).
- Interface with suppliers and internal manufacturing teams for design for testability (DFT) and design for manufacturing (DFM).
- Maintain rigorous safety protocols during high-voltage testing activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Master s degree in electrical engineering, Power Electronics, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in power electronics testing and validation.
- Hands-on experience with converter/inverter prototyping, test benches, and debugging.
- Strong understanding of DC-DC converters, AC-DC inverters, magnetics, and control algorithms.
- Proficiency in using lab instruments and data acquisition tools.
- Familiarity with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or LTspice.
- Experience with standards and compliance (UL, IEC, ISO) for power electronics systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automated test systems.
- Understanding of EMI/EMC testing, thermal design, and environmental validation.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and microcontroller-based converter control.
