Position : Cybersecurity Implementation/Migration Analyst

Location: Troy, MI (Hybrid 2-3 days onsite).

Duration- Long term Contract

Job Summary

  • Experienced and highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to support a critical data center consolidation and migration program. This role will focus on securely lifting, shifting, and validating cybersecurity applications from multiple legacy environments into a newly consolidated hosting platform.
  • The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in security systems, proven experience executing secure application migrations, and a strong understanding of compliance frameworks such as NIST, GLBA and FFIEC and SOX.
  • You will work directly with application owners, customer information security teams, infrastructure teams, ITSM/Change management and project managers to ensure each migration is completed securely, compliantly, and with minimal business disruption.

Years of experience needed 8-12 years of experience as a cybersecurity analyst.

  • Execute the migration (lift-and-shift) of cybersecurity-related applications, servers, and services (e.g., SIEM, PKI, MFA, PAM, Endpoint Detection, WAFs, vulnerability scanners)
  • Validate pre- and post-migration security configurations:
    • Authentication (LDAP/SAML/OAuth integrations)
    • TLS/SSL certificates (chain trust validation, key rotation schedules)
    • Logging (Syslog collectors, SIEM ingestion pipelines)
    • Firewalls / ACLs / segmentation policies
  • Perform compliance validation checks for each application migration:
  • Build detailed test plans for migration validation (network, authentication, application functionality, logging)
  • Conduct forensic-level troubleshooting of security application failures after migration (e.g., dropped logs, failed authentications, broken encryption)
  • Serve as the technical liaison between Application Owners, InfoSec/Compliance Teams, and Infrastructure Migration Teams
  • Document all migration steps, issues, resolutions, and compliance validation artifacts for audit readiness
  • Partner with Scrum Master to maintain task tracking, status updates, and risk management

Technical Skills

  • 5+ years experience in Cybersecurity Solution implementation and operational roles
  • 3+ years experience in security application migrations or major infrastructure cutovers
  • Deep technical expertise in cybersecurity platforms (at least 2-3 of the following): SIEM, SOAR, EDR, PAM, DLP, MFA, PKI, CASB, WAFs
  • Strong hands-on skills in:
    • Server migration and reconfiguration
    • Firewall policy review and reimplementation
    • Secure transport of logs and telemetry
    • Certificate management and encryption validation
    • Integration architecture and Authentication SSO, SAML, Active Directory

  • Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST CSF, FFEIEC, GLBA)
  • Experience with OS security hardening standards (CIS benchmarks)
  • Familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid networking architecture

Ability to perform technical documentation to compliance/audit standards

Excellent interpersonal skills for working with Customer InfoSec, Application Owners, and Migration Factory Teams

Graduate /Postgraduate

Behavioral Skills:

Effective interpersonal, team building and communication skills

Certifications Needed:

CEH, CySA+, or other offensive/defensive security certifications a plus

Product or OEM cybersecurity certifications

Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineer Associate) desirable
