RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is seeking a proactive and strategic IT Manager to lead and modernize our technology operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, this high-impact role will oversee outsourced IT services, standardize processes, and ensure system reliability, security, and scalability. This is a remote role, but the candidates should be located in the Greater Pittsburgh, PA area.
Key Responsibilities:
* IT Manager will manage relationships with external IT partners (MSPs, cloud vendors, etc.) to align with business goals and SLAs
* Develop and maintain centralized IT documentation and standardized procedures
* Collaborate with leadership to assess current IT operations and implement scalable solutions
* Oversee infrastructure (networks, firewalls, servers, cloud environments, AD) to ensure uptime and performance
* Lead security initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks
* Administer user accounts, permissions, and IT policies
* Monitor network performance and develop strategies for infrastructure optimization
* As an IT Manager, you will support cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and cloud-based applications
* Lead internal IT staff (if applicable) and align IT strategy with business objectives
REQUIREMENTS:
* Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
* 5+ years in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role
* Strong vendor and partner management experience
* Deep understanding of IT infrastructure
* Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and frameworks
* Ability to develop structure in decentralized or fast-growing environments
* Proven ability to lead change and establish best practices

* Strong knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN/VPN), cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity
* Experience with remote access solutions and hybrid environments
* Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (.NET, SQL, PHP)
* High accountability, strong work ethic, and effective in both team and independent settings
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
