Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Engineer with strong experience in data visualization, ETL development, and cloud data platforms to support our financial analytics and reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Azure, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and Google Cloud Platform, with a deep understanding of financial data structures and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and load financial data from various sources.
- Build and optimize data models for reporting and analytics using Azure Data Factory, SQL, and Power BI/Tableau.
- Collaborate with finance stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Develop dashboards and reports in Power BI and Tableau to support financial planning, forecasting, and regulatory reporting.
- Integrate data across cloud platforms including Azure and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security standards relevant to the finance domain.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business users to support advanced analytics initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in data engineering or BI development, preferably in the finance domain.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, ETL development, and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, or similar tools.
- Expertise in Power BI and Tableau for data visualization and dashboarding.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform data services (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow) is a plus.
- Experience with Python or Spark for data processing.
- Exposure to CI/CD practices and version control (Git, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with financial data structures, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of financial KPIs, risk metrics, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX, IFRS).
- Certification in Azure or Google Cloud Platform data engineering.
