Job Title: Junior Android/Mobile Developer with Cybersecurity Expertise
Location: Austin, TX OR San Jose, CA

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Android/Mobile Developer with strong cybersecurity experience to join our team in developing secure, high-performance mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Android SDKs and mobile architecture, along with hands-on experience implementing security best practices, penetration testing, and secure code development. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and integrity of our mobile platforms while delivering an exceptional user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Android/mobile applications with security-first principles.
  • Implement advanced security measures including encryption, secure storage, authentication, and network protection.
  • Conduct threat modeling, code reviews, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and DevSecOps teams to ensure compliance with industry standards (OWASP Mobile Top 10, etc.).
  • Integrate mobile applications with secure backend APIs and third-party services.
  • Identify and resolve performance and security issues during development and after deployment.
  • Stay updated with emerging mobile security threats, tools, and trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Android or cross-platform mobile development (Kotlin, Java, Flutter, or React Native).
  • Strong understanding of Android security architecture, secure coding practices, and mobile app protection techniques.
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools and frameworks (e.g., OWASP, Burp Suite, Frida, MobSF, etc.).
  • Familiarity with authentication protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect) and data encryption (AES, RSA).
  • Experience in static/dynamic analysis, reverse engineering, and penetration testing of mobile apps.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and secure SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications like CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), OSCP, or Mobile App Security certifications.
  • Experience with iOS development and cross-platform security considerations.
  • Familiarity with MDM/MAM platforms (Mobile Device/Application Management).
  • Exposure to backend services, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and mobile DevOps.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Required - Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or closely related or equivalent.
  • Preferred - Master s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Big Data or Analytics or equivalent.

Travel:

  • Open to travel based-up on the nature of the engagement.
