The selected candidates will join one of our specialized teams. Additionally, these individuals will align with specific areas within our 787 Equipment & Tool Engineering or Equipment and Reliability Engineering teams, including Asset Engineering, Integration and Systems, Software and Controls, Stress and Structural, or Electrical Systems.

Summary:
Our client is seeking Equipment & Tool Engineers in Charleston, SC.
The selected candidates will join one of our specialized teams. Primary Responsibilities:
- Designs, analyzes and modifies aerospace manufacturing equipment and tooling that meet stakeholder requirements.
- Researches, develops, evaluates and integrates robotics, automation, and new technologies and processes related to equipment and tooling for applicability to programs and products.
- Teams with cross-functional subject matter experts to develop and review bids and procurement specifications.
- Estimates, plans, manages and executes the acquisition and modification of equipment and tooling.
- Develops and implements testing and acceptance to validate performance.
- Creates and maintains related documentation for equipment and tooling, develops preventative maintenance plans and trains personnel as needed.
- Develops and implements interim solutions for damaged and unsafe equipment and tooling.
- Investigates engineering changes and controls equipment and tooling configuration in accordance with company procedures.
- Develops and recommends equipment reliability improvements through the application of reliability engineering tooling.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher in accredited course of study in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Aerospace, Physics, Mathematics).
- 2 or more years of experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment.
- 1 or more years of experience using Microsoft Office and office computing systems.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in Model Based Definition, CATIA, ENOVIA and PDM.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience providing product definitions and technical support to groups, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
