Business Intelligence Analyst 3Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Business Intelligence Analyst for a contract position to work in Redmond, WA. The opportunity will be three months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Position Summary:
The main function of this role is to perform the analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of all applications.Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies.
- Gather requirements from business units and translate them to programmers and developers.
- Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.
- Demonstrate informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
- Support one or more highly complex business processes.
- Work on multiple projects as a project team member.
- Serve as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
- Purpose of the Team: Collaborate with the team to maintain data integrity, which includes (but is not limited to) master data management, supply chain management, and project management.
- Key Projects: Engage in confidential projects, primarily working with the team in meetings, data analysis, and PowerBI edits.
- Typical Task Breakdown and Operating Rhythm: Allocate 40% to meetings, 30% to PowerBI editing, and 30% to data analysis, driving actions to improve data quality.
Qualifications:
- Years of Experience Required: 2-4 years of experience.
- Degrees or Certifications Required: No degrees or certifications required.
- Disqualifiers: Candidates must be quick learners and able to work in ambiguity.
- Best vs. Average: The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience with PowerBI and project management, with a junior-level understanding of how data is used and reported.
- Performance Indicators: Candidates will be evaluated on their ability to meet deadlines, quality of work, ability to work in ambiguity, and quick learning capabilities.
- 2 years of experience or certification in overall supply chain experience.
- 2 years of experience in overall Excel skills.
- 2 years of experience in overall project management.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required. An MBA or other related advanced degree is preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience required.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages to comprehend reading code and basic functions.
- Ability to create business solutions that increase competitive advantage.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Project management skills to handle diverse projects, often simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Ability to solve technical problems/processes and understand complex details.
- Ability to increase operating efficiency and produce high-quality technical solutions.
- A high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to relate to others at their systems knowledge level.
- Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and conduct the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions.
