Job Title: Application Programmer

Location: Remote (Preferably Baton Rouge, LA, United States)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Application Programmer to support customization and development within the Intelligrants grant management platform. The programmer will work closely with the Application Architect and Database Administrator to configure Intelligrants in alignment with agency-specific requirements for Disaster Recovery Grants Management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customize and configure Intelligrants source code to implement agency-specific features.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Assist in designing the OCD DRU (Office of Community Development, Disaster Recovery Unit) grant system in Intelligrants based on the State s disaster recovery goals.
• Optimize and troubleshoot code to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of grant management solutions.
• Contribute to data modeling and visual reporting through Power BI as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Intelligrants grant management system.
• Strong programming skills with proficiency in:
• Python
• Heroku (deployment and platform management)
• PostgreSQL (database queries, optimization)
• Microsoft Power BI (dashboard/report creation)
• Understanding of grant lifecycle processes and disaster recovery grant workflows.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with architects, DBAs, and business analysts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working with State or Federal disaster recovery programs.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
