Job Title: DHTS IT Analyst - BI Developer

Level I Work Performed at a minimum:
Individual contributor works under the direct supervision of Tech/Team Lead or higher and collaborates as a member of a self-organizing team
Creates basic reports using self-service analytics tools such as SlicerDicer, WebI, and Reporting Workbench as assigned
Participates in the planning and delivery of customer training sessions on the use of these self-service reporting tools
Responds to customer requests for assistance with self-service reporting tools as assigned and prioritized by manager; maintains ongoing communications (timely, clear, concise, and accurate) with customers keeping them apprised of request status

Level 2 - In addition to the duties described for the Level 1, the Level 2 will, at a minimum:
Demonstrates proficiency in basic BI tools and technologies to accomplish job duties
Works with new hires/Level I team members to train on use of tools and technologies to accomplish job duties
Demonstrates ability to work independently to solve problems and complete assigned work >75% of the time
Demonstrates ability to work with customers to understand business need or problem to address independently >75% of the time
Actively seeks out participation in Special Projects and is able to effectively accomplish project assignments with minimal supervision
Active participation in Duke Analytics Community or other professional networking organization

Level 3- In addition to the duties described for the Level 2, the Level 3 will, at a minimum:
Demonstrates expertise in BI tools and at least one advanced BI tool or technology to accomplish job duties (e.g. Tableau with multiple data sources or environments, Caboodle development, advanced RW SQL, etc)
Works with Level II team members to train on advanced skills in using tools and technologies to accomplish job duties
Demonstrates ability to work independently to solve problems and complete assigned work >95% of the time
Demonstrates ability to work with customers to understand business need or problem to address independently >95% of the time
Leads Projects with minimal supervision
Expert in a given area, both in the data model and the business workflow
Serves as moderator, leader or channel owner for a forum such as Duke Analytics Community or other professional networking organization

Education/Training
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or four years related technical experience required

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Proficiency in Cogito Fundamentals is required within 6 months of hire date on the current DUHS Epic version as a condition of employment.

No experience required beyond the minimum education (or equivalency) requirement
