Our government client is looking for an experienced Desktop Support Analyst on an onsite 9+ months renewable contract role in Richmond, VA.

Position – Desktop Support Analyst

Job description:
The agency is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Specialist to aid in agency’s Windows 11 Upgrade Project to migrate from Microsoft Windows 10 and Office 365 (32-bit) to Windows 11 and Office 365 (64-bit). 

This individual will be responsible for upgrading and reimaging workstations to Windows 11 in addition to installing and configuring Office 365 and other related software. The specialist will also serve as a point of contact for tracking and reporting deployment status and troubleshooting any upgrade issues. The Desktop Support Specialist will exhibit excellent communication and exceptional customer service skills by working directly with end users in addition to collaborating with other agency technical and project teams.


Required/Desired Skills:

  • 4 Years of Working knowledge of and experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems Required
  • 4+ Years of Recent experience in a full-time Help Desk/Technical Support position Required
  • 4+ Years of Experience and proficiency using an Endpoint Management System Required
  • 4+ Years of Experience and proficiency using a Workstation Imaging Solution Required
  • 4+ Years of Experience and proficiency using a Service Management Ticketing System Required
  • 4+ Years of Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications Required
  • 4+ Years of Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities Required
  • 4+ Years of Excellent verbal and written communication skills Required
  • 4+ Years of Ability to work independently with minimal direction and as a team Required
  • 4 Years of Ability to work effectively with end users, technical staff, and senior staff – providing exception customer service Required
  • 4 Years of Experience with PowerShell scripting and/or SQL reporting Desired
  • 4 Years of Experience with Symantec’s Altiris and/or Microsoft Intune Desired
  • 4 Years of Experience with Ivanti Service Desk Desired
  • 4 Years of Experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit Desired
  • 4 Years of Experience with Active Directory Desired
