- New Feature Development: Collaborate with UDAF's Regulatory Division staff to identify areas for improvement and develop new features that enhance the application's functionality and user experience.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with both the Regulatory Division, and at times the State Lab, to gather requirements, understand workflows, and ensure the application effectively supports the end-to-end food safety inspection process.
- Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous testing and debugging protocols to deliver a high-quality, reliable application.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of the application's codebase, features, and user guides.
- User Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support to UDAF Regulatory Division staff on the effective use of the FSMS iOS application.
- Technical Expertise:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
5+ years of professional iOS development experience

Deep understanding of iOS frameworks, design patterns, and best practices
Experience with Xcode, Interface Builder, and other relevant development tools
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, data serialization, and database interactions
Experience with offline data storage and synchronization
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Commitment to Food Safety: A genuine interest in supporting UDAF's mission to protect public health through food safety.
- Experience with government or regulatory compliance systems
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and inspection processes
