Job Description

We are seeking a skilled IT Technical Support Specialist to join our team in Milledgeville, GA. The support specialist will oversee IT systems and assets, assist with upgrades and fixes, and provide hands-on support and training as needed. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, proactive problem-solving, and a customer-focused mindset to ensure smooth IT operations.

Objectives of the Role
  • Maintain essential IT operations (operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, hardware, and software).

  • Manage business-critical IT tasks and improvements.

  • Support faster and smarter business processes to enhance productivity.

  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies.

  • Act as SME for Windows OS and commonly used applications (Microsoft, Adobe).

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and support workstations, printers, phones, and related hardware/software.

  • Analyze staff needs, identify IT vulnerabilities, and implement solutions.

  • Perform system and network design, documentation, implementation, testing, and administration.

  • Execute software upgrades and troubleshoot performance issues.

  • Provide training and end-user support on software, hardware, and security tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong experience troubleshooting MS Office 365, VPN, Adobe, McAfee, LogMeIn, and encryption tools.

  • Ability to troubleshoot computer peripherals (printers, scanners, MDFs, monitors, keyboards, mice).

  • Experience supporting end-user devices (desktops, laptops, Surface Pros).

  • Familiarity with Active Directory domain environments.

  • Proficiency in software installs and troubleshooting.

  • Basic networking knowledge, including ability to troubleshoot issues via command line.
