About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned Globalscape Managed File Transfer (MFT) Developer/Administrator to lead the design, development, and administration of secure and efficient file transfer workflows. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless and compliant data exchange across systems and stakeholders. You will also be responsible for maintaining the Globalscape MFT platform, including applying patches and addressing vulnerabilities to ensure platform stability and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure, scalable file transfer workflows and automation scripts within the Globalscape MFT environment.

  • Configure and manage file transfer protocols such as FTP, SFTP, FTPS, AS2, and HTTP/S, ensuring appropriate security settings, access controls, and encryption standards are in place.

  • Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and translate them into functional MFT solutions.

  • Proactively monitor file transfer activities, troubleshoot failures, and perform root cause analysis to resolve issues.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies, maintaining high standards for data integrity and confidentiality.

  • Create and maintain system documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration settings, and SOPs.

  • Stay informed on MFT technology advancements and recommend improvements or upgrades to the existing Globalscape platform.

  • Provide user support and guidance related to file transfer processes and configurations.

  • Perform regular patching and vulnerability management on the Globalscape MFT infrastructure.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in Globalscape MFT development and administration, with a strong grasp of MFT principles and architecture.

  • Proficient in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, VBScript) for automation and customization.

  • Expertise in file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTP/S) and related security practices.

  • Strong understanding of encryption, SSL/TLS, digital certificates, and user access controls.

  • Experience integrating MFT platforms with enterprise systems, databases, and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).

  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data security, integrity, and regulatory compliance.
