As a Data Engineer III - Python/AWS/SQL/Alteryx at JPMorgan Chase within Global Technology in Chief Operating Office, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining critical data pipelines and architectures across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable data models and pipelines to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and availability.
  • Optimize data workflows for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data systems and processes.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on Computer Science concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
  • Proven experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or R, AWS (data pipelines, etc)
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing solutions like Snowflake or Redshift.
  • Experience maintaining backend infrastructure (CI/CD, Terraform, Snowflake, AWS).
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and data architecture principles.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker/ Streamlit.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience with data cleansing tools tools such as Alteryx or Tableau Prep
