Splunk Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer & Architect
The Opportunity:

As a Splunk data engineer, you know that organizing data can yield pivotal insights when it's gathered from disparate sources. We need an experienced data engineer like you to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions-from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence.

As a Splunk data engineer at Booz Allen, you'll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You'll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.

You'll participate in requirements gathering, solutions architecting, and design and building of technology solutions to support a Continuous Monitoring Program. You'll assist, train, and host workshops for cyber leadership teams. In addition, there may be a critical need to support off-hours and weekend efforts for incident investigations and systems maintenance.

You Have:
  • 13+ years of experience with Splunk
  • 13+ years of experience implementing dynamic detections and integrating alerting platforms with tools such as Tanium, SEP, Micro sof t Defender for endpoint, Sysmon, Micro sof t O365 Security alerting, Analyst1, VDI, VMware, or Linux Audit logging in conjunction with the advanced Risk-Based Alerting ( RBA ) security framework
  • 10+ years of experience fine tuning configurations of Splunk Core and Splunk Enterprise Security ( ES ) services, developing use cases with client leadership and end users to build content, and assisting in developing advanced security use cases
  • 10+ years of experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex data applications at enterprise scale
  • 10+ years of experience creating sof tware for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data
  • Experience creating solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats and support project team to scale, monitor, and operate data platforms

  • Experience with UNIX or Linux, including basic commands and Shell scripting

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
