Jr-Principal Cyber Security Specialist

Summary:
Develops and implements information assurance (IA), and security standards and procedures. Coordinates, develops, and evaluates security programs for an organization. Recommends IA and security requirements. Supports customers in development and implementation of doctrine and policies. Performs analysis, design, and development of security features. Analyzes and defines security requirements systems. Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions that meet security requirements. Provides integration and implementation of the security solutions. Analyzes general information assurance-related technical problems and provides basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems. Performs vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle. Assists in the coordination of joint strategic and operational planning and execution of joint fires, targeting, capability pairing, and threat mitigation. Senior level personnel with a high degree of experience and knowledge in security disciplines

Skill Required:
  • 3- 6+ years of progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership
  • Relevant core and advanced certifications as established/required per local, national and international industry standards or as necessitated by performance expectations associated with level of appointment
  • Knowledge, skill and abilities run in conjuction with current versions of AFMAN17-1303, DoDI 8570, and stated educational requirements
  • High degree of experience and knowledge in security disciplines required
  • Senior skill set includes ability to perform all stated/implied duties within this tier and those reasonably derived from preceding tiers

Education/Certifications
  • BS degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field + 10 years of experience OR MS degree + 7 years of experience OR PHD + 4 years of experience
  • Contractor shall obtain and maintain certifications as required by current versions of AFMAN17-1303, DoDI 8570.01 -M, and other applicable laws and regulations
  • Clearance - Secret - TS/SCI based on position
