Job Details

As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the daily operation of our database
deployments around the world. This senior position requires a knowledge of technology that is both
broad and deep. You will install, configure, maintain, and monitor several different types of database
systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. You will also be responsible for
performance tuning through collaboration with global development groups and third-party support
organizations, data migration and lifecycle management, and disaster recovery and high available
designs to meet Lineages' internal availability targets. Lineage has a cloud first model so much of this
work will be done using AWS RDS and EC2 database technologies. As a successful Senior Database
Administrator, you will ensure our systems are secure, efficient, scalable, available, durable, and
maintainable.
At Lineage, the aim is not to build the largest IT group; instead, we are creating a small, highly-skilled
team that focuses on having right mix of talents, skills, and the capacity to learn in areas that define
our core differentiation. We then leverage cloud services, best-of-breed technologies, and external
teams to augment our capabilities with sufficient capacity. This means that in addition to being a great
architect, an ideal candidate will need to be able to review and collaborate with others - both internal
and external - to ensure that we are collectively able to deliver.
As a company, Lineage builds state-of-the-art systems to make our employees productive, to meet and
exceed our customers' expectations, to assist in our growth, and to create an operating platform that
