Position: Data Analyst / Data Engineer

Position: Data Analyst / Data Engineer
Role s Responsibilities:
Partner with lead Program Manager to implement Data Management programs to systematically inventory Client s critical electric asset data, capture metadata, measure data, and drive the execution of high-priority data improvements.
Build strong relationships with business data stewards, asset data system specialists, IT teams and other stakeholders to facilitate program implementation.
For identified critical datasets, lead the documentation of metadata in Enterprise tools, integration of data into Foundry/Collibra/Informatica/Snowflake, development of data quality rules and guide development of dashboards to monitor data quality.
Perform triage and remediation on data quality rule errors to ensure rules are functional.
Continuously monitor data quality rule performance (High and/or Low) to ensure that rules are functional and triage/remediate data quality rule errors when they arise.
Partner with Business Data Stewards/project teams to update, modify or add data quality rules, manage datasets.
Ensure data quality action plans are implemented where data fails to meet established data governance standards.
Data Management team works on GIS data support along with other sources of data.
Electric Data Analysts/Engineer will provide GIS data support along with other sources of data.
Responsibilities of the Electric Data Analyst/Engineer include visualization of GIS data, monitoring the quality of GIS data and suggesting data quality improvements of GIS data.
Electric Data Analyst/Engineers are NOT responsible for managing any data software.
Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience
Ten (10+) years of related work experience in Data Analyst/Engineer roles.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Technical Skills SQL, MS Excel, Python, Foundry, Informatica, Collibra, Snowflake, Power BI, SharePoint Online etc.
Prior PG&E experience required.
Comfortable to be in person 2days/week in our Oakland office for collaborative workshops/meetings/work.
Comfortable working in Agile/LEAN methodology work models.
Experience in regulated electric or gas utility asset management and/or operations
