We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Permanent Project Engineer to join our team in the construction industry. This role is perfect for a motivated professional who is passionate about construction and engineering, and thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Project Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee a variety of construction projects from start to finish.
2. Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other related documents.
3. Coordinate and manage submittals and RFI processes in accordance with project requirements.
4. Utilize Microsoft Project and Bluebeam for project planning, scheduling, and tracking.
5. Conduct site mapping and use GPS technology for accurate project execution.
6. Coordinate with various stakeholders including clients, contractors, and team members.
7. Ensure all projects adhere to safety regulations and quality standards.
8. Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on project status.
9. Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
10. Assist in the training and development of junior team members.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Project Engineer position should have the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in civil construction and underground projects.
3. Proven experience in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and other project management software.
5. Strong knowledge of GPS technology and mapping.
6. Excellent understanding of the submittals process and RFI coordination.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
8. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
9. A valid professional engineering (PE) license is preferred.
10. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
