Job Description:
- The Design Lead will guide UX projects and lead a small team of UX designers and researchers in creating innovative, research-driven solutions.
- This role focuses on improving complex, technical workflows for global users and requires close collaboration with development and project teams.
- The position offers the opportunity to gain deep domain knowledge in scientific and engineering environments while contributing to a highly collaborative and impactful UX team.
- UX leadership experience managing small teams.
- Ability to manage stakeholder communication, timelines, and resource planning.
- Strong background in delivering business value through User Experience Design.
- Ability to incorporate research insights into design.
- Skilled in producing sketches, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to design intuitive, elegant interfaces for complex workflows.
- Flexibility to adapt to dynamic project needs.
- Leading UX teams or mentoring designers.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, stakeholders, and researchers.
- Experience in Oil & Gas or IT Operations (preferred but not required).
- Lead a small team of UX designers and researchers.
- Manage work intake, timelines, and resource needs.
- Design solutions that increase user productivity and simplify complex tasks.
- Integrate user research findings into design decisions.
- Communicate and present design concepts clearly.
- Collaborate with UX team members to critique designs and contribute to design standards.
- Advocate for proper design principles and best practices.
- Maintain flexibility and velocity to meet evolving business needs.
- Experience contributing to a design system or technical design language.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and guide design direction.
