Description

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented A/V Technician specializing in the troubleshooting and maintenance of permanent audio/visual systems. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and performance of installed A/V infrastructure across corporate, educational, or entertainment environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues in permanent A/V systems including projectors, displays, audio processors, amplifiers, microphones, control systems, and video conferencing equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Utilize Crestron and Extron software tools (e.g., Crestron Toolbox, SIMPL, SIMPL+, Extron Global Configurator, Extron ControlScript) to configure, troubleshoot, and integrate control systems with A/V hardware.
  • Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to address cross-functional technical issues.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and system updates.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users and stakeholders.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and equipment related to A/V systems.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in A/V system maintenance.

- 2+ years experience in Commercial AV
- Permanent AV Installations
- Terminating copper cables (Cat6) and know color codes
- Experience with Crestron/Extron Control Systems
- Reading Blue Prints
Experience Level
Intermediate Level, multiple years of permanent systems experience preferred.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
