Job Details

Looking for a Network Technician. Applicant should proficient in Networking, rack and stack, switches and fiber. Someone that can follow a MOP and network standards. Knows what a network closet should look like. This person will be the quality check person for the project. There are 200 sites. A mixture of clinics and hospitals. Most likely a late start to the day say 3PM to 12AM. This is a refresh type project, cutting over to new equipment (rack, install switch, UAT). Typical cutover onsite work is Tues-Thurs. Now on the days where there isn t a ton of work to do, he might help with other teams making sure equipment is shipped or configured correctly.

The focus of this project is a network refresh equipment (Cisco router and switch devices).

The Technician will perform basic technical activities such as Rack and Stack, running cables, labelling and patching, and moving devices. The Technician may also follow technical installations with the guidance of a remote Engineer, or by using a pre-defined work package
The Technician understands the fundamentals of networking and is able to connect to devices via a command interface and perform basic administrative tasks as directed by Remote Engineers.
These Technicians may take on responsibility for Access Point (AP) installation, and assistance with the Main Distribution Frame (MDF)/Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF) work being performed.
