Role Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support quantitative models for FX and FICC analytics.
- Develop and maintain Python-based APIs and dashboards (e.g., Dash, Plotly, Streamlit) for real-time market monitoring.
- Collaborate with strategists and traders to build tools that enhance trading decisions.
- Analyze the statistical distribution of FX returns, detect outliers, and model volatility clustering.
- Apply calculus and optimization techniques to model price dynamics and risk.
- Integrate financial data APIs (e.g., Bloomberg, Macrobond) into analytical workflows.
- Structure and manage codebases using Git, with best practices in version control (merge vs. rebase, large dataset handling).
- Support daily signal generation and operational tools.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver market insights and analytics.
Technical Interview Focus Areas Candidates should be prepared to discuss and demonstrate understanding of:
- Statistical modeling of FX returns (e.g., fat tails, volatility clustering).
- Python development: API integration, dashboard design, performance optimization, OOP knowledge
- Calculus in finance: rate of change, partial derivatives, second derivatives in risk modeling.
- FICC asset class modeling: differences in FX vs. bonds/commodities, interest rate impacts.
- Version control: Git strategies, collaboration workflows, managing large datasets.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python, including API development and dashboard frameworks (Dash, Plotly, Streamlit).
- Strong foundation in statistics, calculus, and data analysis.
- Experience with financial data APIs and tools like Bloomberg, Macrobond, Eviews, Tableau.
- Solid understanding of FX markets and broader FICC instruments.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative coding practices.
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in quantitative analysis, preferably in a front-office or trading environment.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to systematic trading and signal generation.
- Experience building real-time financial dashboards.
- Prior buy-side or sell-side experience.
The specific tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Designing, implementing, and supporting quantitative models across the global strategy team as they are integrated into the global strategy analytics platform.
- Working with the global strategy and project team to drive the successful implementation of quantitative models into the analytics platform that will be utilized to help aid in trading and sales flow and front-office business activities.
- To assist with the development and maintenance of codebase as required
- Investigating/applying cutting edge quantitative ideas to improve systematic trading signals.
- Building world class tools that assist strategists and traders in making trading decisions.
- Maintenance and monitoring of daily operational tools for building daily signals.
- Supporting and facilitating the daily maintenance requirements in collaboration with other team members in order to expedite and enhance the turnaround time on the requirements for the market strategy group
- Liaising with internal sales and trading teams and external clients, including institutional investors, government organization and corporations, to provide market insight.
- Collaboratively work with project team, developers, project manager, product owner, compliance and other stakeholders to drive the successful delivery of Analytics Platform.
- Under the lead developer's direction recommend best practice to structure data, prep, summarize within data warehouse for improved visualizations collaborate with other business units to source data and build logic.
- Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders, and business partners from initiation to close.

Skills Required
- This role requires a versatile individual with strong research and software development skills (Proficiency in Python, Dash Plotly, Excel and spreadsheet-based analysis)
- Technical: strong programming fundamentals (OOP and basic design patterns), statistics, machine learning (classical)
- Problem solving and strong analytical / critical thinking skills + excellent communication skills.
- Be ready to be a team player and want to make an impact to improve the efficiency of the team.
- Machine learning experience is not required but another major plus; focus on data analysis and visualization techniques
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Development
- Solid understanding of economic theory, principles and market products
- Some experience with Bloomberg, Macrobond, Eviews, and/or Tableau preferred
- Good team player with excellent mathematical, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines
- 2-3 years' work experience in quantitative analysis, focusing on coding, data analysis, machine learning, back testing and/or econometrics
- Prior buy or sell-side experience preferred
