Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Associate, Java Developer in New York, New York

Design and Implementation of New Clearing, Affirmation and Novation Trading Flows for Production. Communicating with External Vendors (Clearing Houses) to track any changes that may affect our services. Timely code and hardware upgrades as required by external vendor changes including data center migrations, and API updates. Overseeing testing of vendor new software releases. Setup and maintenance of team resources including but not limited to CPS, UNIX servers, Firewalls, Splunk, and CronJobs. Meeting with TriClear stakeholders to gather and analyze project requirements. Providing support to TriClear users (for Clearing, Affirmation and Novation flows). Implementing bug fixes and code improvements across code bases.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $147,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study and Two (2) years of experience in the position offered or Two (2) years as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or related occupation in the technology field. Requires Two (2) years of experience with: Java, C#, and Unix/Linux; Spring Boot and Spring Framework; writing Multi-Threaded Applications; Derivatives Clearing Market and its participants including Clearing, Affirmation, Novation Consent and Confirmation of Over The Counter Trades; Interest Rate Swaps and FX Trading; Regulatory Reporting across United States, Europe and Asia regions; Developing concurrent, High Frequency Trading Applications; Communication protocols used in financial markets including FIX, MQ, and FPML; Jenkins build system; Distributed systems; and DB2 databases.
