Senior PHP Developer - OnSite

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is specific to leading the development efforts of our manufacturing execution system team. This is a custom built shop-floor system that supports the production of customized products with integrated RMA capabilities. The successful candidate will be comfortable working alongside directors, architects, and software development teams.

The right candidate will reinforce clear processes that are consistent with digital best practices and Agile development, create and track collaborative project plans, manage team tasks, communicate plans and status to team members and stakeholders, handle incoming requests, issues, and other day-to-day interactions as needed to keep projects moving.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
• Perform integrations with other internal systems
• Support incoming requests with consistent communication
• Manage day-to-day operations with a small but dedicated team
• Deliver consistent and reliable code via best practices

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field
• At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Advanced knowledge of PHP web frameworks
• Advanced understanding and experience in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Understanding of MySQL, MongoDB, and other databases preferred
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Laravel PHP framework and MongoDB database
• Strong knowledge and understanding of REST API's
• Ability to understand internal systems and process in order to create back-end applications and business tools
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• A flexible/adaptable self-starter with common sense, able to prioritize while multi-tasking and with the ability to work independently as part of a team
• Proven ability to communicate clearly, effectively and tactfully. Strong verbal and written skills
• Proven ability to maintain composure and focus on the job in a work environment demanding flexibility and a sense of urgency in completing required problem resolution, tasks, and projects, while juggling priorities on multiple tasks with specified time frames
• Ability to collaborate with a cross-cultural team of passionate web development professionals both locally and in France
• Flexibility to be available and work long hours as needed

This is a full-time position and requires the qualified candidate to work in our Duluth, GA office.
