Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Engineer with a strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake, Azure DevOps) and proficiency in Python and Spark. The ideal candidate will have 8 10 years of industry experience, preferably in the Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical domain, with hands-on expertise in cloud data integration and data migration projects. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices is highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines on cloud platforms like AWS and Snowflake.

  • Manage CI/CD processes and infrastructure automation using Azure DevOps.

  • Work on data migration and integration initiatives, ensuring data quality, consistency, and governance.

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Leverage Python and Apache Spark for data transformation, analytics, and automation workflows.

  • Implement and optimize data warehousing solutions, enabling efficient data storage, querying, and reporting.

  • Troubleshoot performance and data-related issues in a cloud environment.

  • Ensure compliance with data security and regulatory standards relevant to the Life Sciences/Pharma industry.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 8 10 years of professional experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on cloud-based environments.

  • Proven expertise in AWS, Snowflake, and Azure DevOps.

  • Strong programming skills in Python and Spark (PySpark preferred).

  • Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, ETL/ELT pipelines, and dimensional modeling.

  • Prior experience in Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical industries is highly preferred.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with tools like DBT, Airflow, or other orchestration frameworks.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA, GxP, or other regulatory compliance relevant to Life Sciences.

  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
