We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Engineer with a strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake, Azure DevOps) and proficiency in Python and Spark. The ideal candidate will have 8 10 years of industry experience, preferably in the Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical domain, with hands-on expertise in cloud data integration and data migration projects. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines on cloud platforms like AWS and Snowflake.
Manage CI/CD processes and infrastructure automation using Azure DevOps.
Work on data migration and integration initiatives, ensuring data quality, consistency, and governance.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Leverage Python and Apache Spark for data transformation, analytics, and automation workflows.
Implement and optimize data warehousing solutions, enabling efficient data storage, querying, and reporting.
Troubleshoot performance and data-related issues in a cloud environment.
Ensure compliance with data security and regulatory standards relevant to the Life Sciences/Pharma industry.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
8 10 years of professional experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on cloud-based environments.
Proven expertise in AWS, Snowflake, and Azure DevOps.
Strong programming skills in Python and Spark (PySpark preferred).
Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, ETL/ELT pipelines, and dimensional modeling.
Prior experience in Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical industries is highly preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice to Have:
Experience with tools like DBT, Airflow, or other orchestration frameworks.
Knowledge of HIPAA, GxP, or other regulatory compliance relevant to Life Sciences.
Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
