Job Description:
- Developing documentation sets from scratch for new software products
- Crafting high-quality technical documentation for installation, UX, operation, and maintenance instructions
- Leading the entire documentation process, including planning, writing, reviewing, editing, and publishing
- Talking to technical support about specific customer configuration documentation
- Detailing all software releases and maintaining the technical publication library
- Continuously upgrading documentation to match current software releases
- Developing and maintaining templates, style guides, and topic-based authoring for single sourcing and reuse, adhering to DITA standards
- Representing the organization multi-functionally on project teams and assuming technical project leadership
- Building and maintaining the technical publication knowledge base sought by cybersecurity teams, software application users, marketing teams, etc.
- Tracking and resolving documentation defects from customer feedback
- Ensuring all documentation is clear, concise, and easy to understand for a variety of audiences
- Continuously improving documentation processes and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Job Responsibilities:
- Background in Mobile Device Management documentation
- Shown ability to develop documentation from scratch for new software products
- Expertise in crafting high-quality technical documentation for customer-facing software products
- Experience in planning and crafting technical information, including installation, UX, operation, and maintenance instructions
- Ability to lead the documentation process effectively, including planning, writing, reviewing, editing, and publishing
- Collaboration skills to work closely with software developers, product managers, and corporate teams
- Experience collaborating with technical support on customer configuration documentation
- Capability to transform design specifications into user documentation
- Experience detailing software releases and maintaining a technical publication library
- Knowledge of developing and maintaining templates, style guides, and topic-based authoring, adhering to DITA standards
- Ability to represent the organization multi-functionally on project teams and assume technical project leadership
- Experience building and maintaining a technical publication knowledge base
- Ability to track and resolve documentation defects from customer feedback
Education: Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or a related field
GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed remotely and the salary range will be $125,000/yr to $130,000/yr and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good faith estimate, and the amount offered may be higher or lower.
