Job Details
This lead level Professional position is responsible to lead business system application process improvements and system enhancements. Serves as subject matter expert between vendors, business areas, Legal and IT for system projects and implementations. Serves as project lead for higher medium to large projects with high complexity and risk. Serves as a mentor and coach to others.
Impact on Business-
will focus on Workday Payroll, with a primary focus on writing user stories, testing the payroll module (integrations, configuration, etc), payroll and payroll tax configuration, vendor loads into and out payroll, and interdependencies with other modules (Core HCM, Compensation, Time and Absence).

responsibilities:
Day to day responsibilities:
- Define requirements for Workday Payroll.
- Participate in defining/reviewing the business problem, business need, objectives
- Look at a business problem and define solutions within the new system
- Create data flow diagrams and artifacts that are used in the design, development and implementation of new systems and system enhancements
- Defines, contributes and/or coordinates the development and approval of the user stories and test plans.
- Executing and/or coordinates the executing of the test plans, approach and scripts.
- Documents, monitors and coordinates resolution of test issues per established processes.
- Evaluates risks associated with testing approaches and makes recommendations for alternative testing approaches.
- Help identify change management items for the training and organizational change management teams (processes changing between current state PeopleSoft and future state Workday).
- Work through deployment plan and support the implementation of Workday, from a Payroll perspective.
qualifications:
Degrees or certifications required & Years of overall experience required:
- Bachelor's Degree in a business-related discipline with at least 5 years of systems experience. In lieu of a degree, must have 5 years of System Implementation Experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Workday.
skills: -Workday Payroll advanced experience, including system configuration, with an emphasis on testing: writing user stories, testing, payroll end-to-end testing, etc.
-Experience coordinating with other Workday module resources where there is crossover with Payroll.
-Payroll vendor integrations: working with inbound and outbound Workday payroll integrations/uploads.
Additional Skills
- Intermediate computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to run reports in Workday (example: to assist with testing/data conversion efforts).
- Ability to write and define system requirements
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a highly collaborative environment.
- Strong listening, verbal, and written communications skills.
- Negotiation skills with the ability to influence others through sharing information and gaining commitment.
