This position sits under the Core Systems & Platforms team within Enterprise Technology. The team's vision is to design, build, integrate, and deploy highly effective and stable core business applications and platforms for the Enterprise and Corporate Functions. We lead with a Business Architecture framework and own Core Finance function domain technology roadmap and management of the supporting platforms.

Business Architects are generally responsible for translating business strategy, requirements, and desired outcomes into repeatable processes and product roadmaps for our supported platforms. They build collaborative relationships with our clients to understand their business processes and provide thought-leadership on digital transformation and business process management. They have a high-level view of the business and enterprise service management processes across the company and understand where processes interact or intersect. They translate business strategy and process into requirements and outcomes for development, testing, and implementation. They demonstrate customer centricity and service orientation, by using business process management methodologies to guide stakeholders through process rationalization, product adoption, organizational change management, and digital transformation initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for leading business architecture projects, providing the bridge between business strategy, product management, and process execution on the platform.
  • Analyze and provide comprehensive business views of capabilities, end-to-end value delivery, organizational structure and their relationships to business strategies, policies, products, and stakeholders.
  • Partner with functional and technical teams across the enterprise to define, craft and deliver robust solutions that deliver business outcomes and align with industry standards.
  • Ownership of multiple process areas or business functions
  • Accountable for project team delivery and project schedules
  • Ensure the business architecture roadmap aligns with our strategic priorities, product roadmap, and program backlogs.
  • Collaborate with business and end-user communities to understand business process and elicit, define, and document requirements.
  • Define the priorities of agile team, managing the team backlog, and prioritizing the user stories, defects, and enablers.
  • Plan and lead projects using Business Process Management and Lean Six Sigma methodologies, including value-stream mapping and DMAIC.
  • Partner with engineering to develop test strategy and write test cases across the agile testing matrix (Unit, Functional, System, and Non-Functional)
  • Collaborate with engineering resources to execute tests, analyze results, and resolve defects.
  • Collaborate with partners on implementation, including training, change management, and communications.
  • Leverage knowledge of the requirements and past project delivery experience to help identify risks and prioritize tasks.
  • Own the full lifecycle of assigned projects including project and departmental budgets and forecasts.
  • Serve as a point of contact for critical issues and inquiries.
  • Act as a peer group leader to mentor and train staff on business analysis, business architecture, standards, and processes

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience leading multiple projects for large, multi-national corporation with multiple business units.
  • A minimum of 5 years in business architecture, business process management (BPM), or business analysis functions within a large enterprise
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience participating workflow, process, or development projects
  • Strong technology background and applicable technology skills
  • Knowledge of ITIL v3 or later and ITSM
  • Experience as a product owner, driving the outcomes for multiple products or sophisticated features.
  • Good communication, writing, and executive presentation skills
  • Able to translate ideas into understandable strategies, requirements, value statements, and business outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma methodologies preferred.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $136,038 to $182,490 per year and in Seattle, WA is 142,516 to $191,180 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
