Job Description
- Electrical engineer with 6-10 years of experience on electrical cabinet design
- Electrical design engineers working on power transformers develop detailed electrical designs and calculations to optimize transformer performance.
- Work includes defining parameters related to losses, impedances, noise, short circuit forces, temperature limits, and loading capability.
- Coordination with manufacturing, sales, and testing teams for specification compliance.
- Experience with Auto CAD, ETAP and other tools.
- Control Cabinet Design: Designing main control cabinets that house monitoring, protection, and control devices including electronic temperature monitors, tap changer controllers, cooling control units, and communication interfaces.
- Device Integration: Skilled in integrating various transformer monitoring devices and communication protocols such as DNP3, Modbus, and IEC 61850 to enable secure, accurate, and real-time data flow to SCADA systems.
- Protection & Monitoring: Developing solutions for transformer protection including overcurrent, overload, temperature, dissolved gas analysis monitoring, and fault detection systems.
- Communication Systems: Ensuring reliable data transmission and interoperability between the transformer s control system and utility management systems.
- Customization and Specification: Tailoring control systems to customer and utility specifications, including compliance with relevant standards (IEEE, IEC, ANSI), and adapting to diverse transformer types and application environments.
