About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in Java and API automation using Rest Assured.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and suites to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for API testing.
Build and enhance REST API automation suites using Java and Rest Assured.
Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
Conduct debugging and root-cause analysis of failed test cases.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving testing best practices and standards.
Ensure the scalability and maintainability of automation frameworks.
Work with various tools and technologies for test reporting, defect tracking, and continuous integration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10 year of experience in IT Industries.
5+ years of experience in test automation or SDET roles.
Strong programming skills in Java.
Hands-on experience with Rest Assured for API testing.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON/XML formats.
Experience with JUnit or TestNG frameworks.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Maven, Gradle).
Strong understanding of software testing principles, QA methodologies, and Agile processes.
Experience with Postman, Swagger, or similar tools for manual API validation.

Good to Have:

Knowledge of Selenium or UI automation frameworks.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-based test environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Exposure to performance testing or security testing tools.
Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Serenity BDD).

Soft Skills:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
