Key Responsibilities
· Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans for networking equipment and networking features.
· Set up, configure, and troubleshoot complex multi-vendor networking lab environments that mimic live networks.
· Validate performance, scalability, and reliability of enterprise and service provider networking solutions.
· Develop Python-based automation scripts and frameworks to improve test efficiency and coverage.
· Conduct system-level testing across Ethernet, IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, and related technologies.
· Perform traffic generation and analysis using tools such as Ixia/Keysight.
· Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to identify, debug, and resolve issues.
· Document test cases, results, and defects with high clarity and detail.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
· 7+ years of hands-on experience in network testing or qualification.
· Strong knowledge of L2/L3 protocols: Ethernet, VLANs, STP, IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, QoS.
· Solid background with Enterprise or ISP-grade network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
· Demonstrate strong ability to set up, configure, and troubleshoot complex, large-scale network environments across multi-vendor platforms (Nokia, Cisco, Arista, Ciena, Juniper, etc)
· Proficiency in Python for test automation (Pytest or similar frameworks).
· Hands-on experience with traffic generators and analyzers (Ixia/Keysight preferred).
· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Skills
· Experience with cloud networking technologies (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, etc).
· Knowledge of Linux-based test environments and shell scripting.
· Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
· Familiarity with optical transport technologies (DWDM, OTN, Ethernet over optics).
· CCIE, JNCIE certification a plus
