ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THE ROLE



  • Medix is currently seeking an Ancillary Clinical Applications Analyst for a full time position with one of our healthcare clients in Houston

  • This role will be joining a team that supports all the non-clinical 3rd party applications that are used throughout the hospital system.

  • Specifically - this role will be overseeing Patient Safety applications, which include: HUGS Infant Security, and enterprise Hospital Security & Surveillance Software (Hikvision, XProtect)

  • The ideal candidate will have worked with a number of 3rd party Software Vendors to support application patches, updates, upgrades, and implementations / cutovers.

  • Strong vendor partnership and internal coordination within IT teams will be required




DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Working in a team environment to manage the product lifecycle for a number of 3rd party Infant Security & Surveillance software used across the health system

  • Applications will include Infant Security - HUGS & Kisses, as well as Video Surveillance (Hikvision/XProtect).

  • Primary responsibilities will be to independently manage the application lifecycle for the assigned applications

  • Coordinating with vendors and ensuring timelines are being met / adhered to

  • Coordinating installations / change windows

  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including user guides, troubleshooting procedures, and FAQs, to assist users in resolving common issues

  • Testing / Validating changes work before rolling out to production

  • Providing clear and concise updates on project status

  • This role involves significant interaction and coordination with Clinical Vendors, clinical staff and IT Engineers for successful implementation, upgrade and go-live activities.

  • This role will also communicate with internal customers to understand their specific needs and challenges in utilizing these clinical applications - and be the liaison between clinical users and vendors


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • The position requires 8 years of experience

  • Waterfall Project Management experience with the ability to navigate a diverse portfolio of non-clinical hospital applications.

  • Must have experience supporting 3rd party specialty / ancillary clinical applications

  • HUGS Infant Security - or similar Infant Security products a huge plus

  • Hikvision, XProtect - or similar Surveillance a huge plus

  • Strong communication skills

  • Background knowledge / experience with IT - such as Identity & Access Management, Security Groups, Provisioning, etc
